Tell us which device you are on (iPhone, iPad, Mac or which browser), what you did and what happened. A screenshot or a short screen recording helps a lot. We read every message and reply as soon as we can.
Your account
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, choose “Forgot your password?” and enter your email. The link in the email opens Lamplet to set a new one.
How do I get a copy of my data?
Settings › Your data › Export (Settings › Data on the Mac, or Settings in the browser extension's window). You get everything about your account in one file: your words and schedule, every answer, lists, saved sentences, library details and settings.
How do I delete my account?
Settings › Your data › Delete account. Deleting is immediate and permanent and signs you out everywhere. Lists you published to the community stay, without your name. Export your data first if you might want it later.
Do I need an account?
Yes: Lamplet keeps your study on your account so it can schedule your reviews and follow you to your other devices. All it needs is an email address and a password.
Studying
How does Lamplet decide when a word comes back?
It uses FSRS, a spaced-repetition method that works out from your own answers when you are about to forget each word. Each answer button shows when the word will come back if you choose it.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Answers you give offline are saved straight away on your device and sent once you are back online, in order and only once. Some features need a connection: AI help, translations, generated captions, speaking practice and new audio.
I missed a day. Can I keep my run?
No: a run is days studied in a row, and a missed day starts it again. Your study day ends at 4 am, so a late-night session still counts for the day before. You can set rest days and pauses in Settings so planned days off don't count against you.
Can I bring my Anki history?
Yes. You can import an Anki deck with its review history, so its schedule carries on from where you were, and export your collection back to Anki whenever you like.
Devices and sync
Which devices can I use?
iPhone, iPad and Mac, and a browser extension for Chrome, Brave, Edge, Arc, Firefox and Safari on the Mac. Sign in with the same account and your words, lists, library and place follow you.
A book or video isn't on my other device
Your library's titles and your place in them sync, but the files themselves stay on the device you added them to, for your privacy and to save space. Add the file on the other device too and Lamplet picks up from your place.
Something hasn't synced
Check you are signed in to the same account on both devices and are online, then open Study or Progress to refresh. If it still differs, write to us with both devices' versions.
Privacy
Lamplet uses no analytics, advertising or tracking. What it keeps, where it goes and how to delete it are all in the privacy policy.
